This picture was taken while exploring our favourite back roads just north of Whistler.
What a beautiful province we live in!

Winter Wonder in Lotus Land.

Well this is Victoria afterall.

We haven't had any snow that stuck to the ground-and I am very happy about that! So the closest that I could come up with was eating a dipped ice-cream cone at the Beacon Drive-In (and anyone who has lived here will know how yummy that is) outdoors in February.

I mean, ice-cream is cold and cold is winter. It's close right?

Blustering Bows

Spruced up snow.

We got rain here yesterday, so I'm going to enter a picture I took earlier this year. It's a branch on the big blue spruce tree in my front yard.

Now, we haven't had much snow left around here as our days have been reaching +4 (ugh, i hate how I'm excited about +4, where's the +40??), so my picture is from a year and a half ago. Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park.

RMC Archway...

This arch is located on the grounds of the Royal Military College (RMC) in Kingston, Ont.

For students, this is the first place they go through when they start off their first year, and the last place they walk out of after they graduate (if you are EVER in Kingston in May, usually on the long weekend, the graduation ceremonies are a MUST SEE! Most, if not all, of the outdoor celebrations are open to the public).

It is also there to remember fallen soldiers who were students of RMC.


This was taken at my Brother-in-law's Graduation ceremony a few years back.

This Old Building

There is one building in our town that i'm totally in love with. The Old Arlington Hotel. It saddens me to see it just sitting there, not being used, wasting away as the time passes. I wish I could have seen it in its glory days

Out on Road 22 we have an old barn and two small buildings. This is one of the buildings. The roof is caved in, and it is completely fenced off with yellow signs posted on the building with a warning. 'Keep Out. Hazardous Area.'
